Cementing their fourth consecutive title, the College of Engineering and Design (CED) Raptors seized the Silliman University (SU) All-University Intramurals 2025 overall championship with a total of 460 points.
The winners were announced last Mar. 1 at the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex.
Trailing behind the CED were the College of Business Administration (CBA) Golden Bees with 440 points, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Blazing Phoenix with 220 points, and Institute of Rehabilitative Sciences (IRS) Agilas with 210 points as the first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up, respectively.
CED swept the competition after garnering first place in women’s basketball, men’s softball, men’s track events, Valorant, DOTA 2, women’s roundnet, relay race, men’s pickleball, and ultimate frisbee.
Meanwhile, CBA dominated the sack race, tug of war, women’s football, men’s and women’s badminton, men’s basketball, women’s softball, cheerpop competition, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
CAS, on the other hand, bested its competitors in men’s volleyball and women’s track events, and the IRS clinched the men’s and women’s swimming and men’s roundnet.
On their win in the Intramurals’ first-ever pickleball tournament, CED Raptors team captain Elton Enario said that their preparation includes consistent practice, strategic planning, physical conditioning, and having the right equipment.
After being declared as the champion, CED Governor Nicholas Jamal Tañamor said that he felt happy that the college reclaimed and defended its title as the “true home of the champions.”
“We prepared as a college by trying to do our best, always consistently practicing […] We made it at the top because in CED, we have one goal, and that is to remain at the top,” he shared.
Tañamor also said that he believes that his college will be able to claim next year’s Intramurals overall title as well.
Organized by the SU Student Government (SUSG) Sports and Recreation Committee and SUSG Cheering Committee, together with the SU Athletics and Physical Education Department, the week-long Intrams aimed to showcase “athleticism, competition, and camaraderie.”
